My Priorities
STRATEGIC PLANNING
I believe that we need to work with community partners to conduct strategic planning in order to foster an environment that promotes economic sustainability
INVESTING
I believe that we must invest in education and public safety. As we manage the implications from growth, we need to ensure we are prioritizing the resources needed in our schools and emergency services
FISCAL RESPONSIBLITY
We have seen incremental tax increases due to state mandated property re-evaluations, and I plan to focus on ways to lower tax rates while still generating revenue, to provide optimal services. I pledge to NEVER vote for a tax increase!
ECONOMIC WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT
I plan to work with the Carteret County economic development director, and other stakeholders to create opportunities for people to live and work at the beach, while earning a competitive wage
